Our colleague Hans is celebrating an incredible milestone: 40 years with the company! Always with the same attitude: roll up your sleeves, put your shoulders to it, and get the job done! ๐ช
Hans is now the 6th colleague to reach this amazing milestone, and thatโs something weโre incredibly proud of! ๐
And although heโs almost officially allowed to retireโฆ Hans isnโt quite ready to call it a day just yet! ๐ Heโs going to keep going for a little while longer.

Our lily crops are currently developing well, and the fields are looking healthy. Despite the challenging weather conditions, the plants are standing strong and are progressing well.
We have been experiencing a long period of dry and sunny weather, which means the crops need of plenty of water. Our growers are therefore working hard to irrigate the fields and ensure the plants receive enough water to keep developing under these demanding conditions ๐๐ฆ
Keeping the crops in good condition during a prolonged dry period requires careful monitoring and a great deal of effort from our growers. For now, we are happy to see that the lilies are looking good despite the circumstances.
We will continue to closely monitor the crops in the coming weeks and give them the care they need to grow and thrive ๐ฑ๐ธ

Planting season is coming to an end. Here and there, the last bulbs and scales are still being planted. We look back on a successful and largely smooth planting period. The start was somewhat challenging due to wet conditions, but this was followed by a long period of excellent weather in which a lot of work could be done โ๏ธ
Now we are hoping for some welcome rain, as it is currently relatively dry in the Netherlands. Rain would give the planted fields a great start to the growing season ๐ง๏ธ๐ฑ
Farm Media (@farmmedianl) created this beautiful video for us, capturing the planting season perfectly. Watch and enjoy! ๐ฅ

๐ฑโ๏ธ Beautiful weather during the day, but cold nights are on the way โ๏ธ
The risk of night frost is increasing, so itโs important to protect our young lilies. Thatโs why weโve carefully covered our second-year crop with protective cloth ๐ฟ
This extra layer helps shield the plants from low temperatures, allowing them to continue developing in a healthy and strong way ๐ช
Step by step, weโre working towards a robust and high-quality crop, ready for the season ahead ๐ธ

Weโre back in full swing planting our lilies! This year, weโre using a new electrically powered planting machine โก๏ธ It creates a beautifully even and consistent planting pattern.
Conditions are fairly good overall. Thereโs still the occasional light rain, but thatโs all part of the process ๐ฆ๏ธ

At the moment we are busy sieving our prepared summer scales. These bulbs were scaled in the summer of 2025 and have undergone a temperature treatment from September until now. During this process, small new bulbs gradually form on the scales โ the foundation for the next generation of lilies.
Gradually we are transitioning from two-year scales to summer scales. We do this for several reasons: agricultural land for multi-year crops is becoming increasingly scarce, and with summer scales the risk of frost damage in early spring is no longer an issue.
In this way we continue working towards an efficient and future-proof cultivation ๐ธ
